Escape to the Columbia River – Washougal River, Washington

Anywhere you go between Mile Markers 5 through 16 is going to be a water playground. You know what? The entire river is enjoyable, so get out there and go check it out.

Speelyai Bay, Lake Merwin, Washington

Along Lewis River Road between Clark and Cowlitz County. Note: Some spots around Merwin prohibit pets getting in the water. Speelyai is great though, because they allow pets and also don’t care if your pets get in the water with you or roam off-leash. Parking is $5 and there are plenty of spaces.
